Getting Started

What happens at a complimentary Smile Analysis?

Your Smile Analysis is a personal, unhurried conversation with Dr. Rose. She reviews your teeth, listens to your goals, and walks you through your options — including treatment type, estimated timeline, and cost. There is no obligation to begin treatment.

How do I reserve a Smile Analysis?

You can reserve your Smile Analysis by completing the form on our main page, or by calling or texting us at (352) 644-7727. We respond personally and promptly.

How old should my child be for their first orthodontic evaluation?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial evaluation by age 7. Early evaluation doesn't mean early treatment — it means identifying opportunities for the best possible outcome. Many children benefit from monitoring and planning before active treatment begins.

Can adults get orthodontic treatment?

Absolutely. A significant portion of our patients are adults. Orthodontic treatment is equally effective at any age, and modern options like clear aligners make treatment more discreet than ever. It's never too late for the smile you've always imagined.

Treatment Options

What treatments does Luminary offer?

We offer Invisalign and clear aligner therapy, traditional braces, and retainers. During your Smile Analysis, Dr. Rose will recommend the options best suited to your specific case and goals.

How long does treatment typically take?

Most patients complete treatment in 12–24 months, depending on the complexity of their case and the treatment option chosen. Dr. Rose will give you a personalized estimate during your Smile Analysis.

Is Invisalign as effective as traditional braces?

For many cases, yes. Invisalign and clear aligner therapy have advanced significantly and can treat a wide range of orthodontic issues. Some complex cases may be better served by traditional braces. Dr. Rose will advise which is the right fit for your situation.

Will I need retainers after treatment?

Yes. Retainers are a crucial part of maintaining your results. Dr. Rose will discuss your retention plan during treatment, and we provide guidance on how to care for your retainers long-term.

Insurance & Cost

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans, including Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, Anthem, MetLife, Delta Dental, and others. We verify your benefits before your visit and file your claims throughout treatment.

How much does orthodontic treatment cost?

Treatment cost varies based on the complexity of your case and the treatment option chosen. During your complimentary Smile Analysis, you will receive a personalized plan with transparent pricing — no hidden fees.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer flexible in-house payment plans and work with third-party financing partners to make treatment accessible. Details are reviewed during your Smile Analysis so you can choose the option that fits your budget.

What if my insurance is out-of-network with Luminary?

Many PPO plans still pay a portion of orthodontic treatment even when out-of-network. We can verify your benefits and walk you through exactly what your plan covers before you make any decisions.

During Treatment

Is orthodontic treatment painful?

Modern orthodontics is significantly more comfortable than in years past. Most patients experience mild pressure during adjustments or when switching aligner trays, which typically subsides within a few days. Dr. Rose will advise you on what to expect for your specific treatment.

How often will I need to come in for appointments?

Check-in visits are typically every 6–10 weeks, depending on your treatment. Clear aligner patients often have fewer in-office visits than traditional braces patients.

What if I have a question between appointments?

You have direct access to Dr. Rose and her team. Questions are answered the day they're asked. We don't leave patients waiting for callbacks.

What if I have a broken bracket or lost aligner tray?

Call or text us at (352) 644-7727 and we will take care of you promptly. Emergencies and urgent concerns always receive same-day attention.
